Orlistat information

Xenical (Orlistat) Orlistat is a new class of drug known as a «enzyme blocker» or «fat blocker» used as an aid to help you lose weight. In fact, Orlistat is a lipase inhibitor. When fat is ingested, the body produces an enzyme called lipase that is responsible for breaking down the fat into a form that is readily absorbed by the body. So, Orlistat prevents the digestion of some of the fat you eat. Fats that are not digested cannot be absorbed and therefore do not contribute calories. To give the greatest weight loss, orlistat must be used with a weight-reduction diet.

In U.S. Orlistat is available in the oral form and only with your doctor's prescription.
